Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronan is a basic ingredient of collagen of the tissues in all living organisms. It gives the tissues elasticity and firmness. The proteoglycans contained in hyaluronan are able to retain water molecules and give volume and moisture to the skin. As time passes, the hyaluronic acid degrades and skin hydration or “cracking” problems appear.

With the help of technology, hyaluronic acid is produced in laboratories with the use of very safe methods. It is a biotechnology product submitted to modifications that increase its duration, the volume delivered and the degradation time. It is available in various densities so that it may be used for all types of wrinkles. It can be used for the correction of:

  • Nasomalar folds
  • Wrinkles at the corners of the mouth
  • Lip contour and volume enhancement
  • Forehead and glabella wrinkles as well as for shaping the face contour adding volume in areas of the face where volume has decreased.

The procedure lasts for about 20 minutes and the patient may resume daily activities immediately after treatment. After the procedure is over the patient may experience some reactions such as oedema and redness in the treated area. These symptoms will disappear within the next 2-3 days or can be covered with make-up. The result of the treatment is visible immediately after treatment and shows even more 2 or 3 days later.

Hyaluronic acid is absorbed by the body slowly and safely. This guarantees that after absorption, the treatment may be repeated so that the results and benefits of the first treatment may be safely preserved.

What exactly is the hyaluronic acid?

The hyaluronic acid is found in its natural form in our body. It hydrates and gives volume to our skin. Natural hyaluronic acid is degraded in our body within two days. It is used by doctors in cosmetic treatments, infusion in joints and eye surgery.

How long does the treatment last?

Each session lasts 15 minutes maximum. You should also take into account the time necessary for consultation with your doctor before treatment.

Is application painful?

Newer products are softer and contain local anaesthetic so that infusion may be even easier and painless.

Will I be able to tell the difference straightaway?

Yes, the aesthetic result is immediate. It takes 2-3 days for the medicine to spread and even out and for the skin’s appearance to be perfected but what we see straight after the treatment is 90% of the final result.

Will I have to take a leave of absence from work?

Of course NOT. You may even schedule the session so that you visit us during your lunch break and return to work straight after.
